Beverly Padget is the mother of Joanna Locasto and the former house maid of the Bowers family. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
History[]
Early life[]
When Joanna was younger, Beverly use to work with the Bower's family as their house maid, taking care of their belongings and children. She would spend nights over at the family's house and appeared to be very close with the Bowers, especially Catherine. However, According to Robert, Beverly played a part in Catherine's death.
Eventually, after leaving the Bower's home, Beverly was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease a few years later. On one occasion, she left the burners on the stove on an almost burned the house down. Therefore, for her own safety, she was placed in a group home by Joanna.
Season One[]
Beverly was called back to the Bowers' home by Robert, who suspected Joanna was a spy, and used her to learn Joanna's secrets. She was pulled out of the room after almost revealing a few facts on her. Joanna confessed to her mother that she was an undercover cop and wanted her to stick to a story that Joanna worked for an insurance company and never was a cop. Frightened that her Alzheimer's may be the cause of something, she was comforted by Joanna.[1]
Later, Beverly attended the family dinner and met Julian, stating that he "hadn't changed a bit". Eventually, while going to sleep. Beverly admitted to Joanna that it was a huge mistake returning to the household and that her love for Julian was delusional. Beverly was eventually let in on more of Joanna's plan and thought things were a bad idea.[2]
Going through one of the stages of her Alzheimer's disease, Beverly temporarily forgot whom she's talking to and mistook Julian for Robert. Sobbing, she exposed Robert by saying that what he did to cover up Catherine's death was a horrible thing and that he was an evil man.[3]
